Hollywood Inspired Revenge

<< Return To Article List

Well, not quite but I thought it'd make an interesting title, although there is a loose connection to Hollywood.

Let me ask you this - when a new film is released, as well as trailers, how else does Hollywood promote their latest films? Answer - they use posters and lots of them.

And this is a perfect revenge tactic for you to use as well.

How often do you drive down a road, or walk down a street and see a small poster with "Lost Cat" or "Happy 40th Eric" or "Earn Money From Home"?

Well, why not use the same technique to get revenge on your ex?

Let's consider an all to familiar scenario.

Let's suppose that "Brian Jones"has been having an affair with someone called "Jane Doe", and it's not the first time that Brian has played around.

In this situation, I would create some small posters along the lines of "PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING", underneath I'd have a photograph of Brian and underneath that, I'd write something not to disimilar to this:

  • Brian Jones has recently been caught screwing Jane Doe.

  • Brian is a serial womanizer

  • He is 40, married and hangs out in bars trying to find cheap sluts

  • Brian was last seen sticking his dick in Jane's mouth outside Blockbuster

  • If you see Brian, tell him to f*** off

Now comes the fun part - displaying your posters!

The idea here is to distribute as many of these posters as you possibly can. Great places to put them include:

  • Under Brian's car windshield

  • Under Jane's car windshield

  • On trees and lampposts outside Brian's & Jane's houses

  • Outside their places of work

  • In the letter boxes of their respective neighbours - don't just limit yourself to their immediate neighbours, do the whole street!

  • On lampposts on the corner of busy road junctions - guaranteed to grab the attention of passing motorists

  • Under car windshields at the local supermarket, car park and shopping centre

  • Outside their favourite haunts - bars, cafes, sports grounds etc

  • Hand them out to passers-by in shopping arcades, train stations, to parents waiting outside schools or wherever this is a large number of people.

  • And of course, don't forget to make sure every member of their family and each of their friends gets a copy!!!

You get the idea!

Just a quick word about legality - this revenge tactic is totally legal. However, you need to make sure that wherever you place the poster, it can be removed without causing damage to the surface it's attached to.

For example, don't super glue it to their cars, or nail it to a tree. If your poster is removable, without causing damage, then you cannot be charged with criminal damage.

Just one other word of caution, don't include phone numbers or addresses of your target on these posters - it's called harrassment and you don't want to go down that route.

Distributing revenge posters like this is an exceptionally effective revenge tactic - I have used it many times in several countries and it's never failed.

In fact, I use it so much that it's become one of my standard revenge tools!

There is nothing the ex can do about it, except go around and try to tear them down - and guess what I do when that happens. Yhep - I put up a load more!

I really enjoy this revenge tactic and I hope that you do too - it's extremely satisfying and is one of the most effective ways of shaming your ex and ruining their reputation. Just what they deserve!

As always, don't forget to tell me how you get on and I'd love to see some photos of your own posters. Who knows - if I get enough, I might create a special members poster gallery page on this site. Just email me your pictures, plus a short story to nick@getrevengeonyourex.com

Until the next time,

Nick

I live in New Hampshire, and am wondering if this is legal. My ex went back to his wife (yes, I fell for the empty promises), and has said that if I try to call him he will get the police involved for a restraining order. I don't think that he can, since I have not bothered him, but I know that he would know it was me putting up these posters, and would call the police.

First - if it true - it's not slander - it's legal. Second - if theres no phone number or address - it's not harrassment - it's legal. Third - if they can't prove you did it all - legal or illeagal ..... it's just funny!

Would this be legal in the UK

My ex is in a different state so printed posters wouldn't work. Could I put something like this on the internet? This would be a great start on getting a little revenge.
